FILE PREPARATION

Preparing your files for print requires a few basic steps.

Always send your files at the highest quality/resolution for the image (original file size). Ideally it would help if your files are sized at 300 PPI at the print size that is desired. Renaming the file to the print size and paper type really helps. (e.g. 8x10in cotton rag)

TIFF or PSD is ideal for professionals however jpegs are okay for the every day photographer and we can work with your phone photos as well but please send the “original size” image and not a compressed one in order to get the best quality result.

For those that work with Photoshop or Lightroom, the best colour space is Adobe RGB 1998

We are a 12 ink pigment ink printer specialised for photography and fine art. CMYK files will not give the same in depth gamut that you can optimise from our Canon printers.

Do not worry if you cannot do this we can set up the file for you.

  $25.00 per 15 minutes / $100.00 per hour (min. charge: 15 minutes)

  Including, but not limited to: output adjustments such as colour correction or conversion to black and white or sepia, file clean-up, sharpening and noise reduction (tone/texture and dust, mould & scratch removal); file enlargements; editing of files ;digital compositing such as montage or collages; conservation/restoration of old photographs and documents.
